Lucchese Black Cherry Quill Ostrich Boots

Although Lucchese is promoted as the top shelf mass manufactured boot I'm not a big fan. Let's see, I believe I own 3 pairs and none really fit "just right". All were acquired because the deal was too good to pass on. Here we have a black cherry quill ostrich in their 2000 line. These are a lower build quality than the Classics line but still good enough. I've been disappointed with black cherry coloration in the past as the black begins to wear off and a too bright "cherry" starts becoming too noticeable. Not so for these. They also are made with a very nice cushion insole which is a real plus. The shafts are narrower than my other boots.

Cowboy Boot Shoes For Kids and Adults

What kid or adult doesn't want a pair of cowboy boots (also known as western boots and cowboy boot shoes) at some points in his or her life? Even though the western motion picture has galloped off the scene for the most part, and real cowboys are few and far between, there's just something about cowboy boots that calls us to own a pair.

Luckily for us, retailers offering cowboy boots and cowboy boot shoes abound, all catering to the global desire to look powerful and distinctive. Look up "cowboy boots" at Amazon.com or do a search on "cowboy boots" and "cowboy boot shoes" on-line and uncover hundreds of styles and features that can keep you in discovery mode for days.

Well-made, comfortable, traditionally styled cowboy boot shoes for kids start at around and ascend from there. This is a good thing, because kid's feet grow quickly, so they're more likely to out-grow a pair than to out-wear them. The low price allows a mom or dad to purchase another pair as the child grows, or to buy multiple pairs in increasing sizes so that their little buckaroo doesn't have to choose between different styles and colors: he or she can simply place several pairs into a closet, awaiting the next growth spurt.

Adult cowboy boot shoes come in many different sizes and styles starting at about the level. Cowhide or man-made composition materials are the usual materials for a boot priced this low. Cowhide is durable and attractive. The embellishments on a boot under 0 are basic and include different kinds of stitching or embossing to help a boot stand out on a crowded shelf.

It is at prices above 0 where cowboy boot shoes begin to rise and shine. More exotic materials, like calfskin, kangaroo, ostrich, lizard, eel, and snakeskin begin to make their appearance. These natural skins are less durable and require more frequent and intensive care and maintenance than do cowhide or man-made materials. If you're buying a cowboy boot shoe for a child, realize that it will probably be up to you to oil and maintain the boot if you want to protect your investment, or should you plan to hand the boot down to a waiting child as it becomes outgrown by the original owner.

In rarified atmospheres above 0, cowboy boot shoes take on all the colors of the rainbow, all the stitching in existence, and can include rare gem inlays, intricate carvings, and other outer embellishments. Lucchese's 125th anniversary vintage boot comes in at a breathtaking ,500 while its classic belly-of-alligator boot comes in at "only ,999 - still at nosebleed altitude for most casual shoppers.

But most cowboy boot shoes for kids and adults can be found at "wish list" or "layaway" range, and a great many are immediately affordable. While they may not satisfy your wish to own a pair of one-of-a-kind cowboy boot shoes, they'll certainly fill the bill for daily use at home, school, work, and play.

Women's Western Cowboy Boots

So, you're not actually a cowgirl and you think this article isn't for you. Just hold on there now. There's surely a pair of women's western cowboy boots for you, too. Cowgirls do not have a monopoly on cute and stylish, and these boots are definitely that. Try not to think of the usual brown or black boot with the stacked heel and calf-high shaft. These boots are much, much more than that. There is such an array to choose from that anyone is virtually assured of finding a pair to love - or even two, three or four pairs.

Shoes should match an outfit and women's western cowboy boots come in enough variety to match just about any outfit you care to try. Cowboy boots are not just for ranchers anymore - you can wear yours out to a night on the town or on a shopping trip and know you look fantastic. City girls have no need to feel left out. Actual cowgirls can find a pair that even the most fashion-conscious city slicker will admire. All that style and cuteness in a pair of boots, and they are comfortable, as well.

Women's western cowboy boots probably conjure up a mental image of the usual style. You know the type I'm talking about. It's made of black or brown leather, with a shaft that rises to about mid-calf, with a small stacked heel. There's nothing wrong with these boots, of course. They can look fantastic with the right outfit and in the right setting, but there is no reason at all to be limited just to that.

The color is the easiest to change, so let's start somewhere else. How about how they fit? Cowboy boots in the common mold don't always fit as well as they should. Women who don't have lean calves often find wearing boots with long narrow shafts pretty much impossible. Boots fastened with a zipper could be downright dangerous. Women like this could just find a pair of women's western cowboy boots with shorter shaft, such as an ankle boot. Still like the look of the long boot? Many lines now have expandable gussets that stretch to fit the shape of the leg. Some boots are even made specifically to accommodate differing calf sizes.

Now, we'll move on to color. As you have probably guessed by now, brown and black are no longer the only colors from which to choose. Is pale pink more your color? That's easy to do. Or how about something really different, like ostrich? They make boots like that, too. No matter how flamboyant and flashy your style, there's a boot to match it. Take a look through some online catalogs and online boot sellers and see what's out there. You may be surprised at how much you like some of the designs available.

Some women don't care for the type of heel found on the traditional cowboy boot. That's okay, because there's a fix for that, too. Boots can have spiked heels, too! Obviously, you won't be riding any horses in those, but that's not what you are going to buy them for, right? You can even go the other way and get boots with flatter heels.

One thing to remember - boot sizes do not necessarily match formal shoe sizes or sneaker sizes, so be sure to try on a few pairs and find out what your size is before buying any online or anywhere else.
